DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Schonesland’s Golden Jubilee with Special Guest\, Patrick Long \nThis is a private event for Porsche Club of America Members only \nThe Schonesland Region invites you to celebrate our 50th Anniversary on Saturday\, August 23rd at the Foundry Distilling Company in West Des Moines.  This special event welcomes you and your family members along with our friends in neighboring PCA Regions and their families for an afternoon of food\, fun\, live music and lots of Porsche cars.  \nAnd to make this event truly memorable\, we will be welcoming Mr. Patrick Long to Des Moines for our special day. Patrick\, a current Global Brand Ambassador for Porsche\, has a deep history with the brand. Long also enjoyed a very successful international racing career as the only American Porsche factory team driver from 2003 until 2019. Long is also the co-founder and current owner of Luftgekult\, which is considered by many to be the world’s finest annual display of air-cooled Porsches and recently began featuring water-cooled Porsches as well.  \nThe Day \nThe day’s activities begin at 11 o’clock AM at the Foundry Distilling Co. \nPorsche Corral: Upon arrival and check-in\, you’ll be parked in the Corral with Porsches similar to yours to create a display grouped by generations and models.  \nHistoric Porsches on Display: We are curating a stunning assortment of rare and historic Porsches for the track and the street for you to enjoy.  \nKids’ Historic Car Concours: Patrick Long will coach your kids on how to judge these cars to select their three favorites and award trophies to their owners. \nFood and Beverage: Enjoy a free barbeque lunch by Smokey D’s that will open at 11:30 AM. Two cash bars will serve soft drinks\, craft beers\, wines and cocktails. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we display our Porsches on Thursday\, July 17 from 6 – 8 pm on the square in Pella! \n“Thursdays in Pella” is a weekly community event which takes place on Thursday evenings each summer. The shops are open late and there are food trucks\, activities and live entertainment to enjoy. The Schonesland club has been invited to display our Porsches on the square during the event on July 17. We’ll occupy a designated closed section of the street.We will be placed together on the square. Just look for a Schonesland member and the other Porsches and come on in! \nCars can arrive as early as 4 pm. DESCRIPTION:The Central Iowa Region of the Porsche Club of America has invited the Schonesland Region to Wheels & Watches IV from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday\, June 28\, 2025 at Siebke Hoyt Jewelers in Cedar Rapids. \nWheels & Watches is a celebration of both the automotive and horological worlds. In addition to a display of exciting and unique cars\, the event also includes an outdoor DJ\, complimentary food\, a drawing for a luxury watch\, wine tasting\, photo opportunities\, and more! \nTo guarantee a parking spot (the location notably gets crowded quickly)\, advanced registration is required. SUMMARY:Schonesland 2025 Night at the Ballpark
DESCRIPTION:Schonesland’s Night at the Ballpark event will be held Friday\, May 30th @ 6:00pm \nWe have 150 reserved seats\, so feel free to bring your kids and grandkids if you would like. This is being planned as a family-friendly event! \n  \nEach seat\, regardless of attendee age\, is $33 and includes: \n\nReserved seating in Section 11\, near the covered Mezzanine\, right behind home base: Seating Map\nOur seats are towards the back of the section\, which will provide us with shade and easy access to our food and ballpark amenities\nPrivate BBQ picnic buffet offering brisket\, pulled pork\, hot dogs (gotta have those!)\, potato salad\, potato chips\, soda\, and water\nBeer\, cocktails\, popcorn\, and snacks can be purchased separately from concessions or from the roaming vendors\nFireworks at the end of the game\n\n  \nWhat to Expect: \n\nPlease plan to arrive right at 6pm\, when the doors open. Our food service is scheduled from 6pm-7pm. After 7pm\, when the game starts\, it will be gone\nProceed to the Will Call Desk\, near Gate B. They will have a list of our registered guests\, along with the number of tickets for each group. You will then be provided with wristbands and your tickets\nParking is general admission\, so yet another good reason to come early. If this event is a success\, maybe we will rent suites someday\, which would allow us priority parking. We’re testing the waters this year\nThe ballpark is cashless and does have a clear bag policy.
