SUMMARY:Schonesland 2025 Loess Hills Run
DESCRIPTION:Please arrive at the Hotel Renovo lobby with a full tank of gas by 7:30 am. Additionally\, there is a maximum of twenty cars for this tour. \nSchoneslanders have been driving the Loess Hills Scenic Byway since 2009.  It’s long been one of our most popular trips. Why\, you ask?  Because the roads are just so damn good!  These scenic\, thrilling roads are only two hours from Central Iowa via Highway 44\, which itself is loaded with sweeping curves and majestic vistas.  This is one day of total bliss behind the wheel of your Porsche that will have you feeling exhilarated as you arrive in Sioux City\, just in time to watch the Kentucky Derby with your Schonesland friends. \nThe big change to this year’s plan is a new location for lodging and dinner. The Warrior Hotel in downtown Sioux City is a historic grand hotel that has been restored to its legendary Art Deco interior with luxurious finishes throughout.  Click on the link to see photos of this fabulous property. There is a block of 20 rooms at a fantastic rate of only $149 per night-you’ll see that’s a bargain when you see your room. Hotel reservations can be made by clicking on this this link. \nWe will have cocktails and dinner in the majestic Woodbury dining room.  After dinner\, you can party in the main bar or venture 12 stories above to the rooftop bar\, with beautiful views of the city and the Missouri River. The dinner cost of $60 per person (inclusive of gratuity and tax) will be collected at the time of the registration. \nYou may return to Central Iowa any way you choose\, but most drive the Scenic Byway back home since it’s mostly deserted on Sunday mornings.  Once back on Highway 44\, many choose to stop and have brunch in Harlan at a fabulous farm-to-table restaurant\, Milk and Honey. \nRegistration for the Loess Hills Run is now open. SUMMARY:Schonesland 2025 Night at the Ballpark
DESCRIPTION:Schonesland’s Night at the Ballpark event will be held Friday\, May 30th @ 6:00pm \nWe have 150 reserved seats\, so feel free to bring your kids and grandkids if you would like. This is being planned as a family-friendly event! \n  \nEach seat\, regardless of attendee age\, is $33 and includes: \n\nReserved seating in Section 11\, near the covered Mezzanine\, right behind home base: Seating Map\nOur seats are towards the back of the section\, which will provide us with shade and easy access to our food and ballpark amenities\nPrivate BBQ picnic buffet offering brisket\, pulled pork\, hot dogs (gotta have those!)\, potato salad\, potato chips\, soda\, and water\nBeer\, cocktails\, popcorn\, and snacks can be purchased separately from concessions or from the roaming vendors\nFireworks at the end of the game\n\n  \nWhat to Expect: \n\nPlease plan to arrive right at 6pm\, when the doors open. Our food service is scheduled from 6pm-7pm. After 7pm\, when the game starts\, it will be gone\nProceed to the Will Call Desk\, near Gate B. They will have a list of our registered guests\, along with the number of tickets for each group. You will then be provided with wristbands and your tickets\nParking is general admission\, so yet another good reason to come early. If this event is a success\, maybe we will rent suites someday\, which would allow us priority parking. We’re testing the waters this year\nThe ballpark is cashless and does have a clear bag policy.
