SUMMARY:Loess Hills Driving Tour 2024
DESCRIPTION:Registration ends at April 22\, 2024 11:59 PM CDT \n\nSaturday and Sunday\, April 27th & 28th should be on your calendars for the 2024 Loess Hills Run to Sioux City. Leaving from Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh\, 1025 E Hickman Rd\, Waukee\, IA 50263 on Saturday morning (arrive at 7:30 am)\, we’ll drive west on scenic Highway 44 to the Loess Hills in western Iowa. After a stop for lunch\, we’ll hustle up the Byway’s thrilling twists and turns thru the hills and valleys to arrive at the Marriott Riverfront Hotel in South Sioux City\, NE in time to check into our rooms and gather in the bar for a little refreshment and tales from the trail.  Then\, we’ll move to the Highlands Room at Kahill’s Chop House for a private evening of great food\, beverage and fellowship; cocktails at 6:00\, dinner at 7:00. \nSunday morning offers a return to Central Iowa by taking either the express route (Interstates 29 and 80) or the scenic route by going back down the Byway when it’s virtually deserted.  The Loess Hills Scenic Byway is on the United States Registry of Scenic Byways and one of our most popular drives of the season\, enjoyed by Schoneslanders since 2009. These roads are MADE for Porsches! \nA block of 30 rooms with special group rates of $140 or $150/night\, depending on view\, has been reserved under “Schonesland Region Porsche Club” with a mixture of king and double queen rooms on the river side and the parking lot side. The easiest way to reserve your room is to click on the link below\, which will take you right to our block of rooms.  OR\, you may call the Hotel directly at 402-494-4000 (option 1) to reserve your room.
