Schonesland 2026 Jason Smith Collection Drive
This is a one-day drive that will take us from Altoona to Cedar Rapids to visit three exquisite car collections owned by Duane Smith and Jason Smith. All three collections have a wealth of legendary and high-performance cars including including a 959, a Carrera GT, and a 918. For those who attended our 50th Anniversary event in August 2025, these same cars were on display for our concours.
A handful of last details are still being finalized. What is known as of today:
We will be sharing this experience with the Central Iowa Region, and a few members from the Central Iowa Region may even join us on the drive over.
Our schedule upon arrival in Cedar Rapids is complete. Our estimated start time (to be confirmed the first week of April) will be around 7:00 am for insurance release form sign up and Driver’s meeting with a drive start time of 7:25 am. Because of the need to be at the first collection in Cedar Rapids relatively early, this will be closer to a straight-line drive.
This event will take place rain or shine; refreshments will be served at Duane’s collection, and a boxed lunch will be served at the Jetset Collection in the afternoon. The last remaining details for this drive should be finalized the week of March 31 and will be posted at that time. To register, click the MSR image at the top of this page!

This event is classified as a “driving tour” and will be conducted in accordance with the Porsche Club of America’s Driving Tour Standards. We will be using Ride with GPS phone app for navigation.
